From building nests to using tools, learn about how intelligent our feathered friends truly are. PPT with animal ambassadors.

What else can we do to help this iconic insect? PPT, and if this talk is done during Monarch season Monarch butterflies or caterpillars will accompany.

4. Women of Natural History

Throughout history women have made significant observations that have changed our understanding of the natural world. From Queen Hatshepsut's botanical collections (1478-1458 B.C.E), to paleontologist Mary Anning (1799-1847), to biologist Rachel Carson (1907-1964). PPT

3. Animal Families: What Makes a Bird a Bird?

Children will learn about the 5 vertebrate families: birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and fish, and what makes each special. Animal ambassadors representing each group will be present.

4. Animals Around the World
